This post really spoke out to me as I've experienced every one of things you've mentioned. I just couldn't figure out why sex is for me the way it is. It's frustrating, really.

I am so happy that it resonated because it’s often non spoken about. Our hormones impact so many aspects of our life and we always say testosterone in relation to men and women’s pleasure is not a priority

You mentioned it in passing but this is the main thing: your looks are compromised so you aren’t getting the guys you really want. When you are “settling” — even if you are lying to yourself about doing so — passion is not so easy.

The double whammy of the testosterone is what kills me. When you’re young it ruins your looks, then around menopause it turns into estrogen - what you thought you lacked - and gives you breast cancer.

That is a very good point. I have not thought about it that way. It's very possible that happens and as a result a lot of women with PCOS are not happy sexually. However I can imagine there are women in the control group of these research that might not be able to get the guys they want. What I mean is that beauty is such a spectrum and sometimes the guys we really want have been ingrained in our brains by media of what is desirable.
